A shit show.
But a learning process of a shit show. This whole adventure is going to be a learning process above many I’ve ever went through.
Got into Denver today and was looking for a campsite and picked a few state parks around where my cousin lived. Saw they had hundreds of campsites so I “assumed” there would be some that were open. Paid to get into the park. Then, go to registration and ask if there’s any open. I’m sure you can guess-there was ZERO. All 3 state parks in there area were full.
8 phone calls later still nothing was open and I’m like shit now what I am I going to do. Was going to hang out with my cousin and his wife for the day and now I’m frustrated because me “assuming” things is now eating into the time I get as going to spend with them.
Well, on phone call 9 he had an opening. He just had a cancellation and said it was meant to be so I said “YES! I’ll take it”. Pull up gps on the place through my app I’m using and off we go. Heading into the mountains I say to myself “wow, this is going to be an amazing view on top of the mountain”. HAHAHA!! Should have known better my gps led me to a neighborhood in the mountains nowhere near the real campsite.
Well, we ended up finding the park and set up camp and headed to my cousins. Ate some amazing food, had some great laughs, nerded out on history, rocks, and life. It was amazing.
That’s what life is about. Never growing up. Becoming an adult but never losing what makes you, you. Laughing, joking, playing in the mud, catching bugs, doing whatever made you happy in your childhood because you never lose those interests. Hang on to those memories and continue to make more.
Stay weird my friends. Be different. Be goofy. Laugh at dumb things. Yell out loud. Be you.
Love you all.
Always remember to—support the intended
